A Look Into The Fantastic World Of Pokemon Diamond
The world of pocket monsters, or Pokemon as it is more commonly referred to, has long been full of wonder and awe. The premise of the games is to give the player the ability to explore the lands in search of every creature, large and small. Equipped with nothing more than the Pokedex and a starter companion, all adventurers begin their journey to be the best in the handheld universe of Pokemon Diamond.
The game involves a few basic phases: exploring the world, capturing more pokemon, and becoming a pokemon master. The battle mechanics are quite simple, and players of all ages can become familiar and proficient in interacting with the world. During a vigorous battle with a wild, roaming monster, the creature's health is reduced to minimal levels, and the user has the option of using one of several types of pokeballs to capture and recruit it to their side.
The newest features presented by the Diamond version of Pokemon are primarily dependent on the capabilities of the Nintendo DS. This platform allows this generation of pokemon gamers to enjoy Wi-Fi connections to other DS handhelds in the area, along with voice chat, and the ability to trade pokemon. The touch screen mechanics make interacting with pokemon companions even more involving, and allow players to communicate through drawing.
There is a free roaming aspect to Diamond that allows the trainer to venture forth to any location as long as he or she has the means to do so; this gives the sense of unrestricted adventure to the player. This particular version is the birth ground of quite a bit of legendary and exotic pokemon, all of which can be obtained via battles or trades. The most important in the Diamond version is the mighty steel dragon Dialga, the ruler of time. This titan of time has a long history of battles with the spatial pokemon Palkia, ruler of space.
Upon completing a certain quest within the game, the trainer is allowed access into a special building where he or she can play with other trainers, real life people who also own the pokemon game. This is the first time that players from anywhere on the globe could interact wirelessly. This ability shows further innovation in that the system on which the game is played supports a microphone for the users to speak to each other.
Pokemon Diamond is a game worth getting as there is much to love and more to share the love with thanks to the Wi-Fi ability. Fans of the series and newcomers alike will find that there is more to pokemon than merely catching them all. Mystery and lore lies beneath the surface as the player follows the path of a Pokemon Master.
