Regardless of what some ill-advised people are saying, you can downgrade psp 3000 models, irrespective of the current operating system. After I bricked destroyed my older, fat psp, I bought a new one, though I was not going to take any chances…
Throughout this article and at the end, I have placed some links, which will take you to the exact same guide that I used to downgrade a psp 3000. It is so worth it, now my unit is completely open - a universal multimedia powerhouse. Loving it.
Now, the problem is not the finding the firmware to downgrade to, it is how to complete the downgrade. You do not want to get this wrong! First thing that you need to do is establish which operating system you are running, Then, all you have to do is google search for a firmware downgrade that is compatible with your current system, download the firmware and then comes the hard part - the procedure itself. Again, it's only hard if you don't have the exact steps in front of you.
